Welcome to…Endless Horizon

Last updated on September 26, 2020

Amy and I have been living on the road now for over 15 months. During that time, I have been working on my first novel. It’s an adventure/romance about a young woman marooned on an island south of Australia. Molly is clever and resourceful in meeting the challenges of survival; but there is one challenge she can’t overcome: loneliness. One day, she finds a shipwreck survivor. Minar has his own story and his own demons, but he quickly grows fond of Molly, and she of him. Working together, they may even find a way off the island.

Endless Horizon is now “done.” I put the status in quotation marks because any author knows that a book will go through many, Many, MANY revisions and rewrites before it is published. The revision that Amy and I have just completed marks a milestone, as I am about to send the book, in PDF form, to several people that have voiced an interest in being a “beta reader.” These adventurous souls will be the first people that don’t live in my travel trailer to read the whole thing. I salute them!

Like any new author, I have high hopes for this labor of love. At the same time, it’s my first book, and I’m already well into the planning stages for my second. It will, of course, be much better. My wise son told me years ago that writing, like many fine arts, is something that a person can get better at by doing it more. Granted, talent helps a lot–but in terms of telling a story, mechanics can make or break.

So wish me luck as I embark on the roller-coaster that is the book publishing process.
